Position Summary
Responsible for greeting guests, confirming reservations (if applicable) and escorting guests to tables in an upbeat, friendly, and courteous manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet incoming and departing guests in a warm and friendly manner
  • Manage reservation system
  • Ensure reservations are prioritized and seated in a timely manner
  • Strive to accommodate walk-in guests whenever possible
  • Seat guest(s) in the dining and bar areas while ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff
  • Clearly and politely communicate with guests when delays and/or waits occur
  • Maintain an organized floor by quickly and efficiently seating guests according to hotel standards
  • Communicate pertinent reservation notes to appropriate staff members
  • Answer phones in a prompt and professional manner and direct calls as applicable

Qualifications:

  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in person and on the phone
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests, staff and management
  • Working knowledge of OpenTable reservation system
  • Knowledge, understanding and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums and other instructions

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
