1+1 Stateside to Overseas Residency

The 1+1 Residency is meant for those who are interested in overseas missions to spend a year of personal growth, missiological understanding, and connection at a Hikari City Church. The following year will be spent at Sapporo Garden Church in Sapporo, Japan. In greater detail this position includes

Year 1: Hikari City Church in Detroit Michigan

• Personal spiritual development
• Experience reaching Japanese people in the US.
• Missiological study, development, and experience.

Year 2: Sapporo Garden Church in Sapporo, Japan

• MIssiological development alongside long-term missionaries
• A role in the Sapporo Garden church (includes, but is not limited to: worship, kids, organization, and more).
• A defined ministry opportunity around Japanese people that could include, but is not limited to: working in the marketplace, taking Japanese classes, studying at an English speaking university.
