Host – Namo Sushi & Bar Colette

We are seeking a hospitality-driven Host/Hostess to be the welcoming face of our upscale sushi restaurant. This role is essential in creating a refined first impression and ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, maintaining a calm and elegant presence
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating flow with precision and attention to detail
• Escort guests to their tables while presenting the restaurant with knowledge and poise
• Communicate effectively with servers, sushi chefs, and management to coordinate service
• Provide accurate wait times and ensure guest comfort during busy periods
• Answer phone calls, manage bookings, and accommodate special requests when possible
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing host stand and entrance area

Qualifications:

• Previous host or customer service experience, preferably in fine dining or upscale environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure
• Attention to detail and a commitment to exceptional guest service
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred:

• Experience with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy)
• Knowledge or appreciation of sushi and Japanese dining culture
