POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of National Inside Sales. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting the growth of sales activities on Central Territories. Inside Sales Representative provides the highest level of customer satisfaction and will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. Must be comfortable making cold calling, working with Account Managers, Distribution Partners, and Manufacturer’s Representative generating leads, qualifying prospects, and assisting in closing sales. The position requires engagement with multicultural teams overseas. While the position has an option to work remotely, the candidate must be able to commute to Hirose’s Chicago Office (Downers Grove, IL) on dedicated working days.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to
Customer Experience and Support
1. Develop a strong understanding and relationships within territories including, but not limited to customers procurement team, product management team, engineering teams, quality department and any other department sales deems key to growing Hirose revenue.
2. Understand customer needs and requirements and assist outside Account Managers to generate new opportunities and design win.
3. Collaborate with the appropriate internal department(s) including Hirose oversea HQ and subsidiaries, to resolve technical, quality or support issues raised by a customer and engage in until action is completed.
4. Be the face of Hirose sales portraying a professional manner to customers, Distribution Partners, and manufacturer’s representatives.
Hirose Sales Team Support and Administration
1. Cooperatively assist Regional Sales Team with call set up, demand creations and achieving annual sales targets.
2. Team with Distribution Partners and manufacturer’s representatives to create sales opportunities.
3. Source new sales opportunities through inbound and outbound leads by researching, prospecting and cold callings.
4. Follow-up on quoting activity to define customer interest level and drive to the project win.
5. Be the point of contact for expediting discussions including communication, lead time, and general product availability.
6. Manage the company’s revenue tracking system and ensure revenue is being reported accurately.
7. Assist other duties assigned.
Teamwork
1. Be able to understand and perform all processes and tasks within the department.
2. Develop and maintain cooperative and constructive working relationships with customers, external business partners and internal departments.
3. Complete tasks per ISO9001-2008 requirements, when applicable.
Requirements
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. BA or BS Degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in customer service or inside sales within a similar environment.
2. Experience in minimum 2 years of Cold Calling.
3. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications and web applications.
4. Experience in using Salesforce CRM solution and HubSpot preferred.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
7. Ability to communicate in English is required. Japanese or Spanish , a plus.
8. Able to clearly and concisely communicate across different cultures.
9. Must be able to work 8:00-17:00 Central Standard Time (CST) Time Zone.
10. Must have internet access in case of remote working situation.
11. Basic understanding of the electronic component industry a plus
