Students in these houses are expected to speak the target language in their normal social encounters in the house.

The International Fellow has educational/cultural, public relations/liaison, and administrative responsibilities while living in the House. The Fellow will work with the Faculty Advisor to coordinate House activities that meet the needs of the residents and extend the academic curriculum of the program. The Fellow may be asked to assist the language section in organizing receptions for visiting speakers or artists, lectures, film studies, dinners, study abroad orientations and other joint events held either in the House, on campus or in the community.
