Description
Job Responsibilities:
Warehouse & Vendor Management:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Monitor warehouse performance, resolving any issues related to operations and vendor-related challenges.
Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management:
- Manage the organization, storage, and retrieval of inventory within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring all inventory items are accounted for.
- Conduct regular stock checks and ensure proper labeling and organization of goods in the warehouse.
Expense Management:
- Assist in the quarterly budgeting process for warehouse expenses, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control.
Disposal & Recycling Management:
- Oversee the disposal process of obsolete or non-sellable items in compliance with company policies.
- Ensure that recyclable materials are properly managed and disposed of in accordance with environmental guidelines.
Physical Inventory Management:
- Schedule and coordinate bi-annual physical inventory counts for both the stores and warehouse.
- Attend physical inventory counts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in inventory reconciliation.
- Address any discrepancies and work with the team to determine the root cause.
Auditing & Process Improvement:
- Regularly audit inventory records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Update inventory manuals and procedures to reflect best practices and any process improvements.
- Analyze discrepancies in inventory and implement corrective actions to resolve root causes.
Other Duties:
- Participate in monthly meetings with warehouse operations and HQ, providing updates and addressing any ongoing issues.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to take on additional tasks and projects as directed by management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or related field (is a plus).
- Understanding of inventory system, warehouse operations, and vendor management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze discrepancies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various departments.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.), and experience with inventory management software.
- Ability to attend bi-annual physical inventory events (after hours) and perform light lifting tasks (up to 30 lbs).
- Willingness to work in a warehouse environment with the ability to adapt to varying work conditions.
- Japanese speaking preferred but not required
Minimum USD hourly rate: 20.00
Maximum USD hourly rate: 25.00
