Established in 1926, Mutual Trading Co., Inc. was originally a small co-op organization for centralized purchasing of basic import foods to service the needs of the early Japanese immigrant society in Southern California. Essential Job Functions
• Configures and installs various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS) in conjunction with 3rd party IT vendors.
• Acts as initial contact for all internal technical support required for computer workstation hardware and software, telephone, network, operating system, printing, and internet access problems
• Escalates the issue and communicate with vendors for solution when necessary
• Performs installs, upgrade, moves, and changes for computer workstation hardware and software, printers, CD-ROM drives, and other peripherals.
• Performs network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
• Coordinates with vendors to update, maintain, and repair hardware, phone operating system, and network to ensure optimal performance
• Monitors performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Monitors system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Identifies and orders necessary equipment and components to ensure smooth Company operations
• Maintains records, logs and reports of assistance
• Manages IT asset inventory and asset tags
• Manages and maintain Company software applications including user credentials, master files, backup files, and logs
• Assists data entry clerks by inputting, updating, and maintaining information within the Company’s warehouse inventory database (Microsoft NAV)
• Provides Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
• Works within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
• Selects and implements security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
• Plans, engineers, and monitors the security arrangements for the protection of the network systems
• Maintains firewalls, virtual private networks, web protocols, and email security.
• Liaises with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Supports Windows servers. (VMWare, AD, WSUS, FS, Exchange 365, SharePoint)
• Supports Internet and WAN network infrastructure. (Meraki)
• Creates and maintains documentation of diagrams, and other technical documentation.
• IT asset management.
• Attends Company events and functions outside normal working hours
• Follows MTC group IT policy and must work with direction from the MTC Head Office IT department
• Other duties as assigned from General manager
• Other duties as required or assigned by management.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to type on the computer for extended periods of time
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds on occasion
• Working Conditions

o Noise Level: Normal to Loud while indoors

Other Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (computer science or information technology) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Occasional in-state or out-of-state travel is required.
• English/Japanese bilingual preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience of computer networking
• 2-3 years of managerial experience preferred
• Ability to work weekends and evenings on occasion.

Knowledge and Skills
• Working knowledge of Cisco products and Windows server products.
• Knowledge of networking protocols.
• Knowledge of network topology.
• Ability to follow directions, complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Maximum USD Salary: 72,000
