    First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a customer-focused, engaging, detail-oriented Japan Customer Service Representative to join our International Banking Department. In this role, you will be responsible to provide customer service primarily to Japanese mass market customers through a customer service platform referred to as “Japan Help Desk”. Japan Help Desk provides customer service to Japanese mass-market customers.

    The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.

    Compensation

    The hourly salary range for this role is $19.50-$23.50/hour; commensurate with experience.

    Work Schedule

    Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (hours may vary)

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • Professional level bilingual capability in English and Japanese in reading, writing, and speaking required.
    • 1 – 2 years’ experience with Japanese clients in customer service preferred.
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English and Japanese at a professional level.
    • Familiarity with Japanese business culture.
    • Familiarity with financial statements and banking products.
    • Strong written and verbal communication.
    • Ability to use judgment and discretion in problem resolution.
    • Able to handle confidential matters judiciously.
    • Possesses attention to detail with excellent follow-through.
    • PC proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
    • Must have good organizational skills.
    Minimum USD hourly rate: 19.50
    Maximum USD hourly rate: 23.50
