Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Japanese English Interpreter to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a bilingual professional with proven interpretation experience who thrives in multicultural environments and is passionate about bridging communication gaps.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide accurate and culturally sensitive interpretation between Japanese and English in various settings (corporate, educational, or client-facing)
• Support Berlitz programs by facilitating smooth communication during training sessions, meetings, and events
• Collaborate with instructors and staff to ensure language services meet Berlitz’s high standards
• Assist in the development of language and cultural materials when needed
Qualifications:
• Fluency in both Japanese and English (native or near-native proficiency)
• Prior experience in professional interpretation (simultaneous or consecutive)
• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
Language: Japanese/English
Length: 2 weeks: October 13 to October 23, 2025
Schedule: 8-4 or 9-5 may require over-time

Rate per hour $35.00 plus trip reimbursement

Project Description: manufactures personal care products under brands such as Biore. Three Japanese employees are visiting the US manufacturing plant to learn manufacturing processes and equipment so they can take that knowledge to Japan. The interpreter will work the full day.

Successful applicants will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Teaching experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to speak English fluently.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Basic administrative skills, and computer knowledge in order to deliver lessons, and maintain student records
- Flexibility with work hours and availability
