Position Details

The Department of Language and Linguistics in the College of Arts & Letters at The University of Tampa invites applications for part-time instructors to teach Spanish, Italian, German, Chinese, Japanese, French and American Sign Language.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Teach up to two 4-hour courses per semester.

2. Create a syllabus for their course.

3. Teach according to departmental guidelines.

4. Provide meeting time for students.

5. Complete online grading.

The successful candidates will have:

1. A minimum of a Master’s degree, with at least 18 credit hours in the language that they are applying for.

2. College level teaching experience.

Applications for part-time positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis which may include fall, spring and summer.
