Designed to encompass an entire city block, Thompson Dallas will offer 219 guestrooms including 52 suites, 2 defining dining options and 20,000 sq feet of stunning event space. Other amenities will include a resort style pool, custom curated fitness facility, spa, and dog park. Thompson Dallas will bring guests and community together through an inspired tribute to history, design and culture.

The right person should be familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar.Preferred candidates will have understanding of state and local serving guidelines. This is would be an experience for the guest that istransformational and intimate not, a burn and churn quick drinks.

Qualifications:

  • Essential Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities-
    • Prepare and serve a wide variety of cocktails, martinis, and classic beverages with consistency, speed, and finesse.
    • Recommend drinks based on guests’ preferences, flavor profiles, and current trends.
    • Create and maintain house-made syrups, infusions, and garnishes.
    • Maintain knowledge of all drink recipes, seasonal menus, and wine offerings.
    • Perform bar setup and breakdown, including stocking, glassware, ice, garnishes, and sanitation.
    • Ensure compliance with all company, state, and local guidelines for alcohol service and safety.
    • Engage guests with professionalism and warmth, creating a welcoming and memorable bar experience.
    • Operate POS system, handle cash and credit transactions, and complete financial reports as required.
    • Collaborate with FOH and BOH staff to ensure seamless service.
    • Attend and participate in training sessions, tastings, and department meetings.
    • Perform side work, restocking, and closing duties to maintain an organized and efficient bar.
    • Support colleagues and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work culture.
    • Stay current with hotel offerings, local events, and area points of interest to enhance guest interactions.
    Knowledge/ Skills
    • Excellent memory, multitasking ability, and attention to detail.
    • Strong customer service skills; warm, professional, and engaging personality.
    • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining composure.
    • Basic math skills and proficiency with POS systems.
    • Understanding of how to cost out cocktails and engineering of a balanced menu.
