Our Tatsu-Ya team is seeking a Lead Cook with management experience and a positive, team-oriented attitude. We have opportunities to expand your knowledge on Japanese culture and cuisine.

Job Duties:

  • Supervising employees, assigning duties, and training line cooks
  • Monitoring team performance and ensuring duties are performed efficiently
  • Reporting any issues that arise during the shift to the Sous Chef
  • Managing employee requests
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, health, and safety standards
  • Coaching team members and training new staff
  • Handling customer issues and employee disputes

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Toast knowledge is preferred but not required


  • Previous experience in a management role preferred

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
