Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Belmont University is seeking student tutors for the Language Learning Center.
Tutor up to 10 hours/ week per semester Keep an accurate record of tutoring sessions and student visits. Abide by all relevant University and/or departmental procedures and policies. Provide language tutoring services for Belmont students. Light office work. Promote the vision and mission of the Belmont Learning Centers in class visits and small events. Other duties as assigned.
Occasionally requires standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying and climbing, reaching both high and low. Frequently requires walking and balancing. Constantly requires sitting, repetitious finger and wrist movement, speaking clearly, hearing conversations, hearing (with acuity), seeing near and far with depth perception and color vision.Belmont University is dedicated to the health and well-being of all of its students, faculty and staff. Required Qualifications
- Applicants must have a strong background in either Spanish, French, Italian, German, Japanese, or Chinese.
- For non-native speakers, a minimum of 2 foreign language classes is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills a must.
- Applicants must be able to adapt to the different learning styles of the Belmont student base.
- Applicants must have an awareness of personal study methods.

Required Education
Applicants must be currently enrolled at Belmont University.Applicants must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA.Non- native speakers must maintain a 3.5 GPA in languages.
