Fluent Japanese Speaking Interpreter/Translator

Multicultural startup company looking for Advanced Japanese/English speaking interpreters/translators.
Overview:
We are looking for bilingual Japanese/English speakers with interpreting experience to help Japanese speakers with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) understand information and for English speakers to understand the training from our Japanese trainers in a manufacturing setting. This position is an on-site position that will require a flexible schedule and some over time.
Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken language in real-time, accurately conveying the meaning and tone of the speaker
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards of conduct
Supporting trainers on the floor of the manufacturing plant
Safety training will be provided and will be a focal point of our daily activities as all interpreters will be working on the manufacturing floor
Training for technical aspects of the position will also be provided
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent REQUIRED
- Fluency in both Japanese and English languages; Advanced and/or business level REQUIRED
- Excellent listening and comprehension abilities
- Ability to interpret complex concepts accurately
- Understanding cultural nuances; knowledge of Japanese and American business culture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional interaction with customers and other various departments in the organization
- Interest in learning new technical terms in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher
- Previous translation experience a plus but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Ability to work in varying climates
