JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Facilities Repair & Maintenance Technician:

Kobe Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse is seeking exceptional candidates to join our Repair & Maintenance Team. We are searching for a technician with a wide skill set that encompasses multiple trades, combining the roles of an electrician, carpenter, plumber, groundskeeping, and maintenance cleaning. The Maintenance tech will support the restaurants by managing routine maintenance and emergency repairs to prevent and resolve safety or comfort issues.

In this role as a Facilities Repair & Maintenance Technician, you will be essential in maintaining Kobe stores, restaurant equipment, and facilities, ensuring that they operate and meet business standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reports to the Facilities Manager, who will assign tasks on a daily basis
• Managing day-to-day repairs and maintenance of equipment and buildings across restaurant and property locations throughout Central Florida
• Assigned tasks include but are not limited to repairing damaged equipment, performing routine equipment maintenance, installing new equipment, maintaining landscaping, and overseeing roofing repairs
• Regular working hours needed are Monday through Friday between 8am-5pm.
• This role requires participation in a rotating “on-call” schedule to handle urgent, after-hours repairs (evenings/weekends) as needed to ensure restaurant operations and safety.
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Troubleshoot maintenance problems as they arise and determine corrective action
• Be willing to travel to various restaurant locations throughout Central Florida (Altamonte Springs, Longwood, Alafaya, International Drive, Lake Buena Vista, Kirkman, Kissimmee, and Kissimmee West 192)
• Follow all safety procedures set forth by Kobe guideline, OSHA standards, and local building codes.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience is the fields of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, landscaping and/or carpentry is preferred
• Demonstrates independence, honesty, and a positive attitude while consistently taking initiative and maintaining a strong work ethic
• Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
• Strong multi-tasking ability with flexibility during high volume periods
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a team environment
• Ability to lift, move, and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs or more)
• Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active while standing and walking and working indoors and outdoors

Requirements:

• Must have a reliable truck, van, or utility vehicle for site-to-site travel. The company provides mileage reimbursement at the full IRS Standard Rate to cover gas, maintenance, and wear-and-tear.
• Must be able to communicate in English and use email for work related communication
• Must be at least 18 years of age
