Apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards(GAAS), and Public Company Accounting OversightBoard (PCAOB) Auditing Standards.Conduct external financial statement audits and financial statement reviews under InternationalStandards on Auditing (ISA) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) . Researchtechnical accounting issues under Japanese Internal Control over Financial Reporting (J-SOX), US GAAP, US GAAS,Japanese Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (JGAAS), ISA, and IFRS. Address financial reporting issues, andcommunicate accounting and audit issues to clients in Japanese, verbally and in writing. Review audit work papers. Test the design and implementation ofinternal financial controls forassigned clients. Assist with account functions, including billing, feeanalysis, and new servicedevelopment. Identify performanceimprovement opportunities for assigned clients. Pursue business development opportunities. Establish and maintain clientrelationships and professional networks.
WORKSCHEDULE : 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)
JOBREQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Master’s degree or foreignequivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management,or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor’sdegree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance,Business Administration, Management, or a related field, and 5 years ofpost-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience.
Must have an active California CPA license.
Of the required experience, must have 2 yearsof experience with the following: Applying U.S. Generally AcceptedAccounting Principles (GAAP); Applying U.S. Generally Accepted AuditingStandards (GAAS); Applying International Standards on Auditing (ISA); ApplyingInternational Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);Applying Public Company Accounting OversightBoard (PCAOB) Auditing Standards; Applying JapaneseInternal Control over Financial Reporting (J-SOX); Testing internal accountingprocedures and communicating findings toclients; Providing audit services to clients that report under IFRS; Performing auditprocedures consistent with the requirements of ISA, US GAAS and JGAAS.
Must have verbal and written fluency inJapanese.
Travel to various locations throughout theU.S. is required up to 5%.
Telecommuting may be permitted withincommutable distance from the office location depending on business need.

SALARYRANGE : $ 118,435 – $ 165,000 per year
