Job Summary:
The Mixologist at Glory Roll Sushi Bar is responsible for the execution and stewardship of a high-level cocktail program that complements the culinary vision and overall guest experience. This role is highly visible and guest-facing, requiring a disciplined approach to technique, consistency, and service.
Core Responsibilities:
Culinary Execution & Quality
• Prepare and execute all cocktails with precision, consistency, and speed
• Uphold exacting standards for balance, dilution, temperature, and presentation
• Execute advanced techniques as required (clarification, batching, infusions, carbonation, etc.)
• Ensure all drinks meet Glory Roll standards for taste, appearance, and portion control
• Maintain recipe accuracy and proper use of jiggers, scales, and specs
Bar Operations & Prep
• Complete all bar prep to spec, including syrups, infusions, garnishes, batching, and mise en place
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually sharp bar at all times
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate prep and ordering needs proactively
• Ensure glassware, tools, and stations are always service-ready
Guest Experience & Hospitality
• Engage guests with confidence, warmth, and professionalism
• Guide guests through the cocktail menu, spirits, and flavor profiles
• Create a welcoming, elevated bar experience without sacrificing efficiency
• Maintain strong awareness of pacing, volume, and flow during service
Team & Collaboration
• Work in close partnership with the Sushi Chef to deliver a cohesive experience
• Collaborate with management on menu evolution, seasonal features, and specials
• Support FOH teammates to ensure seamless service across the room
• Contribute to a culture of professionalism, accountability, and pride in craft
Compliance & Safety
• Follow all alcohol service laws and responsible service guidelines
• Maintain required certifications (TABC or equivalent)
• Uphold sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards behind the bar at all times
Qualifications
• 3-5+ years of craft cocktail or high-end bartending experience
• Strong understanding of classic cocktails, spirits, and modern techniques
• Experience working in an upscale, guest-facing bar environment
• Ability to execute with precision in a focused, controlled service setting
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• TABC certification (or ability to obtain)
