POSITION TITLE:

Mktg. Dir./Dir., U.S. & Global Brand Strategy, Harvest Snaps

POSITION DUTIES:

Develop and implement short- and long-term strategic marketing plans to achieve double-digit brand growth across Calbee America’s portfolio. Lead and conduct consumer research, utilizing POS data, shopper insights, and consumer analytics to inform brand positioning and marketing strategies. Enhance and evolve brand architecture, positioning, and targeting based on consumer insights and market trends. Establish and optimize brand pricing strategies to ensure margin sustainability, collaborating with sales and trade marketing teams to drive profitability. Monitor brand health KPIs (awareness, consideration, trial rates, and market share) to identify performance gaps and growth opportunities. Provide strategic leadership and direction to design and creative agencies across packaging, brand storytelling, and content development to ensure cohesive, insight-driven brand execution aligned with business objectives. Develop Innovation Strategy and maintain a three-year brand innovation pipeline, ensuring timely and relevant product launches aligned with consumer needs. Identify and capitalize on new marketing opportunities, trends, and emerging channels to enhance brand reach. Lead and oversee PB (Private Brand) and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) projects, managing timelines and execution efficiency. Develop ROI-driven marketing strategies that maximize the brand’s working budget while driving awareness and trial. Lead the development and evaluation of media plans (national and regional/retailer-specific), ensuring effectiveness and reach. Oversee the execution of a national sampling campaign to increase trial rates and drive conversions. Manage social media, PR, and newsletter initiatives in collaboration with agency partners to drive brand engagement. Partner with sales teams to develop quarterly shopper marketing programs tailored for key retailers. Lead the creation of promotional materials including in-store POPs, digital assets, and display content. Develop and manage annual brand P&L budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team of 3, conducting weekly one-on-one meetings and performance evaluations. Foster a results-driven, innovative, and collaborative culture within the marketing department. Work with R&D teams to maintain an innovation pipeline aligned with brand objectives and market demand. Partner with SCM, Operations, Quality, and Sales teams to ensure successful execution of marketing and product initiatives. Serve as the primary liaison between Calbee America and Calbee Japan HQ, ensuring seamless communication and strategy alignment. Collaborate with Calbee HQ’s product development team to drive future innovations and leverage global R&D expertise. Lead the exchange of insights, creative assets, and strategic frameworks across global subsidiaries to ensure consistency in brand positioning. Led the development of the global brand strategy for Harvest Snaps, partnering closely with marketing and strategy teams across Japan, Asia, Europe, and Australia to ensure cohesive positioning and market relevance worldwide. Led the development of a centralized global innovation pipeline for Harvest snaps, optimizing efficiency by aligning R&D efforts across Japan, Thailand, the UK, and the US-minimizing redundant product development and accelerating time-to-market. Drive global sales growth for Harvest Snaps by identifying new market opportunities and leading cross-regional collaboration with teams in Asia, Europe, and Australia to develop and execute tailored market entry and expansion strategies. Facilitate quarterly business reviews with regional teams to identify opportunities and evolve brand strategy, drive regional innovation roadmap, and establish ways or work with regions and Japan to assure a seamless planning and execution.

9 years of experience in the position offered or related occupation.

SPECIAL

REQUIREMENTS:

Marketing, brand management, and related roles within the CPG/Food and Beverage industry; developing and executing brand strategies that resulted in measurable revenue growth; pricing strategy, P&L management, and marketing budget allocation; understanding of consumer insights, shopper data, and market research methodologies; working with global teams and aligning U.S. market strategies with overarching corporate goals; analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights; leadership and team development capabilities; data analysis and storytelling (Platform: SPINS POS data, Numerator Shopper data, Euromonitor); Microsoft Excel, Word, PPT, and Share Point; and must have at least 3 years of experience with the Australian, Japanese, Asian, and European markets dealing with Salty Snacks.
