Traveling Restaurant Trainers/Opening Team Members at Kura are responsible for leading, instructing, coaching, and managing all new store members and trainees in ensuring exceptional quest experience and support the current company expansion plans.

This position requires extensive travel. Traveling trainers travel from new store to the other and stay from weeks to months at a new or existing stores to assist with training and store operations.

Traveling Trainers:

  • Effective and efficient hands-on leaders/trainers that directly work alongside employees
  • Educate and train hands-on work to new hires and employees
  • Ongoing process improvement of techniques for efficient training
  • Ensure efficient and effective store operations within given guidelines
  • Analyze employees training needs for better performance
  • Coach employee on food quality and safety in the restaurant
  • Passionate about developing and mentoring staff
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures
  • Team players who go above and beyond
  • Flexible and available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Benefits: Opening Team Benefit Summary and Working Schedule The Opening members have unique working schedules and are qualified for special benefits Kura (“the Company”) offers to perform all essential job functions and duties, as listed in each employee’s Job Description. The Company also requires that all Opening members fulfill the other responsibilities listed herein within the scope of the employee’s position.

Benefits:

1. Vacation hotel paid by the Company a. Hotel reimbursement costs must be within the same price range as the corporate Extended Stay at America rate which is up to $80 per night. If an employee chooses to stay in a more expensive hotel than $80 per night, the excess amount will be paid by the employee and will not be reimbursed by the Company. This means if total amount per night becomes $81, the employee will pay $1 out of pocket.

2. $300 meal allowance a month

3. Store Exempt PTO schedule A. a. PTO carries over from year-to-year and has a balance cap of 216 hours. If an employee’s employment with Company ends, the employee will be paid for any unused PTO that the employee has accrued as of the ending date. PTO does not accrue during any unpaid leave of absence.

Working Schedule:

1. Opening members are required to commit to a working schedule from one week before new restaurant’s grand opening date to two weeks after the date. This does not limit Company reserves the right to change this policy at any time and for any reason: FY 2024 employee’s rights to any legally mandated leaves of absence or rights under any applicable disability accommodation laws, or other applicable law.

2. During above three weeks, the employee is required work six days or more a week. Company provides the employee with “comp days” on both the 6th and 7 th working day in a week. Comp days are 8.0 hours of compensation that can be used similar to that of PTO. Outside of the above three weeks, the employee is required to work with the Opening Manager to use accrued comp days so that there are minimal unused comp days by the next new restaurant opening.

3. Comp days carry over from year-to-year and there is no accrual cap. If an employee’s employment with Company ends, the employee will be paid for any unused comp days that the employee has accrued as of the ending date.

4. Request to change schedule is not accepted during above period unless the Company is required to accommodate the request under applicable law. In those instances, an employee needs to submit proof of the need to change employee’s schedule, to the maximum extent allowable by law.

5. When schedule change must be requested by an employee, the written request must be submitted to the Opening Manager at least ten days before the requested absence, or as soon as reasonably practicable if not sooner with a proper proof, to the maximum extent allowable by law. This is required due to the Company finding a replacement, airplane tickets, hotel cancellation, rental car and other necessary accommodations. 6. An employee must agree that the Company prohibits employee to take PTO for certain dates based on business needs. However, this prohibition does not apply to use any paid sick leave or other legally mandated leaves of absence, disability accommodation regulations, or any other applicable law.

7. The Company may recommend that the employee take PTO on certain dates (i.e., during a time period when the Company knows that the store opening will not happen) – but s/ he does not necessarily have to use PTO for those days.

8. An employee must agree that the position requires the employee to travel up to 100%of working time, all over the United States.
