Purpose of Job

This position is primarily responsible for full-cycle payroll knowledge and accurate processing of facility US associates and assigned Japanese expat payroll. The position guarantees the disbursement of payroll, garnishments, benefits, and taxes to employees consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws. Prepares, analyzes, and distributes accurate month-end payroll and staffing reports to applicable departments. Assists with our HR related activities, including payroll policy documentation and development, and orientation

Major Duties/Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll in accordance with all federal and state wage hour laws as well as company policies.
  • Prepare all payroll reporting including monthly, quarterly and annually. Prepare GL reports, headcount reports and other requested reporting.
  • Oversee timecard system and attendance policy for compliance as well as associate related issues.
  • Update associate and payroll records such as new hire, termination, tax status, direct deposit, reimbursements, rates, assignments, garnishments, etc.
  • Ensure JSox compliance.
  • Maintain appropriate files and documentation.
  • Other HR duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge

Required and/or preferred level of education, knowledge, and skills that are necessary.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred.

Related Experience
• 2 to 4 years experience processing payroll in a manufacturing environment
• 5 to 7 years of payroll experience

Special Training or Competency

Proficienct in Microsoft Office; Strong organization skills with a keen ability to prioritize and multi-task; Confidentiality of sensistive information; strong attention to detail.

Additional Information
Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am – 4 pm. Off-hours as needed.

Travel Requirements:

Less than 10% international and/or domestic.

If domestic travel is necessary, a valid driver’s license is required.

If international travel is necessary, a valid passport is required.
