This position works with the Production Control team, customer representatives, and cross-functional areas to react quickly to and resolve customer concerns and questions. The PC Specialist will also work to ensure shipment, delivery, and coordinate new product line trial delivery.

Work will include:

  • Control shipment and delivery for trial parts.
  • Create inventory/shipping communication with the Sales team.
  • Create a problem resolution plan against the assigned customers’ needs and requests.
  • Confirm status of assigned customers’ orders, shipments, delivery, and shipping notice (daily).
  • As a customer service representative, is responsible for assigned customers’ additional orders, missed shipment(s), non-conformances, different operation days, logistics, and coordinates with related teams to accomplish it.
  • Adjusts the number of inventory/shipping management labels in the finished parts locations and reports it to the PC team leadership.
  • Audits, records, and adjusts number labels in the finished parts locations and reports it to the responsible department.
  • Investigates concerns and reports to the department leader(s) necessary adjustments and how the information is to be communicated to related departments for the recovery.
  • Keeps the PC Leadership informed of all unusual events.
  • Carries out the requests of the PC leadership team.
  • Provides backup and support for other Specialists.
  • Able to read and understand Kanban and match parts to Kanban.
  • And of course, other duties as assigned.
  • management labels for new parts and engineering changes.
  • Understands customers’ needs and requests and prepares for mass production needs.

What you’ll need.

  • 1 – 3 years’ related experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite – working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
  • Able to read and understand Kanban and match parts to Kanban, or the ability to learn this internal system upon hire.
  • Willing and flexible to occasionally work outside of regular business hours to support 24-hour operations.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with automotive and/or manufacturing experience.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or a related field, or 1-3 years of related experience. The equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals/documentation. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups. Computer programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite, are regularly used to communicate and gather information. Fluent in English. Japanese as a second language is helpful.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Desire to proactively and collaboratively work toward solutions with cross-functional team input.
