ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential job functions are duties that are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. The term does not include functions that are performed on an occasional basis, performed by some but not all persons in the position or that are only of marginal importance. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function that follows satisfactorily; other duties being assigned as necessary to department, or company mission.
PRIMARY TASKS
- Project task and build event scheduling and overall task management
- Primary customer contact for new model and supporting activity
- Assigned project status reporting to customer and MinebeaMitsumi management
- Preparation and submission of APQP related documents
- Change point management and coordination of activity
- Determination and management of materials, parts, and processes necessary for build events
- Quality verification of process during maturation and development
- Error analysis and problem prevention using FMEA and other AIAG core tools
- Hands on assembly of new project event parts
ADDITIONAL TASKS
- MRP data entry/verification
- IMDS (International Material Data System)
- TS/ISO related activities
- Support of Business plan activities
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position.
- Language skills- Ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings, technical procedures and supporting materials. Ability to respond to questions and effectively articulate requirements via oral, written or graphical format. Bilingual skills (Japanese, German and/or Spanish) is helpful but not required.
- Reasoning ability- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Mathematical skills– Ability to work with concepts such as probability and other statistical concepts. Ability to analyze process time that is fully productive using the OEE concept. Ability to measure and calculate area, volume, and dimensional tolerance constraints.
- Computer skills– ability to use MS Excel, PowerPoint and internet software. Use of MS Project is a plus. Ability to use solid modeling software such as Catia is useful but not required
- Travel– Possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year College or University with a concentration in an engineering or project management related field; three to five years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination thereof is required.
