Your Role

Business Development Manager – QA

Job Purpose:

This is a newly established, strategic position with high growth potential, created to accelerate business development and expansion of Quality Assurance (QA) solutions in the Japanese market.You will be responsible for driving value-based proposals of Atlas Copco’s innovative QA-related offerings-including tightening and software solutions-with a focus on expanding business both in Japan and Southeast Asia.
In this key role, you will work closely with the local sales team in Japan while also maintaining active communication with our development and production center in Italy to lead this high-potential business area.

Business Line Manager, Atlas Copco Japan

Key Responsibilities:

• Unleash Quality Assurance and Manual Tightening Full Potential

  • Estimate Market size and market share for Quality Assurance and Manual Tightening
  • Identify customer base, segments, and applications to pinpoint growth opportunities and drive business development
  • Understand the impact of Japanese OEMs on sales in various geographic regions
  • Analyze the competitive landscape and maintain up-to-date documentation to support sales efforts

• Business Development & Sales Enablement

  • Maintain an updated and effective sales funnel for quality assurance and manual tightening, actively working on new leads and opportunities until they are closed.
  • Lead customer visits, product demonstration and proposal activities in collaboration with the domestic sales team
  • Execute value-based, solution-oriented sales for both existing and prospective customers

• Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with internal functions including sales, engineering, and service to deliver optimized solutions
  • Act as the business interface between Japan and the global development/production team in Italy, sharing product feedback and market needs

• Drive Competence Development

  • Build in-depth knowledge of Atlas Copco’s QA solutions, related software, and tightening tools
  • Deliver product training and implementation support to both internal stakeholders and external customers

• Performance Management

  • Monitor and report on project progress, KPIs, and sales targets
  • Contribute to regular business reviews and strategic planning

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • A proactive and results-driven mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or business-related fields
  • Over 5 years of experience in B2B technical sales or business development (preferably in an industrial context)
  • Proven track record in solution-based and consultative selling.
  • Fluent-English is mandatory, and Japanese is preferable / a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working across multiple departments and with overseas teams
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Solid PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, etc.)

Preferred Profile:

  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach and a passion for business growth
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand market dynamics and competitive positioning
  • Experience in quality assurance equipment or tightening systems is a plus
  • Experience working in a global matrix organization is highly valued

パフォーマンス管理

  • 定期的なビジネスレビュー,戦略立案への貢献

応募資格・スキル:

  • 自ら主体的に動き,成果にこだわる方
  • 工学・ビジネス関連の学士号以上
  • 技術系B2B営業やビジネス開発における実務経験(5年以上が望ましい)
  • 提案型営業,ソリューション営業の実績
  • 英語: ビジネスレベル以上(必須)/日本語: ビジネスレベル歓迎
  • 社内外との高いコミュニケーション能力
  • 複数の部門・海外拠点との連携力
  • 国内外への出張が可能であること
  • PCスキル (Excel,PowerPoint,Word,Power BI など)
