    Oerview of the role

    As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of JFE’s products or services. This role will oversee the

    QA department and staff, monitor and ensure high-quality standards in production, inspect processes and outputs, analyze data,

    communicate with external officers, and maintain records.

    Key Accountabilities
    • Maintaining compliance: Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies
    • Developing quality control: Creating and implementing policies and standards for the company to follow
    • Testing and sampling: Ensuring products meet set standards and specifications
    • Inspecting: Inspecting processes and outputs, and conducting in-house audits of product inventory and documentation
    • Analyzing data: Assessing operational data and identifying quality problems
    • Communicating: Communicating quality standards to the QA team and other relevant departments, such as product development
    • Investigating: Investigating customer complaints and conducting root cause and preventive action analysis
    • Supervising: Overseeing the daily workflow and schedules of the department, and supervising staff
    • Leading: Leading the QA team by motivating, guiding, and managing team members effectively

    Training: Training staff members on quality control processes and policies
    • Evaluating: Conducting performance evaluations and handling discipline and termination of employees
    • QA managers should have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
    • Able to work effectively in a team setting and have strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Serve as the facility Food Safety Program Coordinator, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) Coordinator, and SQF (Safe Quality Food) Practitioner.
    • Manage budgeting, purchasing, and inventory of QA operating supplies such as filters, chemicals, and lab supplies.
    • Monitor the performance and competencies of QA staff and provide leadership, coaching, discipline, and development as needed.
    • Assist the Research & Development team with formulation adjustments, product evaluations, and product launch activities.
    • Partner with SLT (Speech and Language Technology) to drive continuous improvement.
    • Maintain a safe work environment and support all plant safety programs.
    • Assist with weekend and holiday coverage as needed.

    What you’ll need
    • Bachelor’s degree in food science/technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Engineering or another related field
    • 6 Years of experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
    • 4 Years of experience managing people/projects
    • Computer literate with proficiency in, but not limited to: Microsoft Office Applications, Visio, Oracle Business Systems,

    Infinity QS, etc.
    • Detail-Oriented with Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
    • Knowledge of water chemistry, microbiological analysis methods, chemical analysis methods, laboratory systems and

    beverage sanitation practices
    • Demonstrated ability to use data for creative problem solving experience using statistical software packages
