Quality Section Manager

General Overview:

Develop, implement, and coordinate quality program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. Act as a primary liaison with suppliers and customers. Supervise and assign duties to Quality Department Associates. Responsible for customer support activities.

Duties:
• Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product, implement, and coordinate quality assurance program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards Act as primary liaison with suppliers and customers.
• Formulates and maintains quality objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
• Visits and confers with customer representatives to resolve customer return problems and concerns.
• Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
• Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality.
• Develops supplier performance expectations with assistance from purchasing.
• Directly supervises other quality control associates.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 8+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering/CMM role
• 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred
