About the location:
Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort offers a luxurious adults-only wellness enclave on the secluded Hawaiian island of Lāna’i. Unmatched hospitality, reputable specialists and natural beauty combine to offer a completely customized experience to discover one’s greatest well-being. At the heart of it all is the Sensei Way, an evidence-led approach integrating healthy living practices into three simple paths – Move, Nourish and Rest. Guided by highly trained practitioners in areas such as exercise physiology, nutrition, stress management, yoga and mindfulness, each stay is unique – itineraries are comprised from a selection of wellness classes, spa treatments, a range of island activities and world-class golf and tennis facilities complemented by nourishing and delicious dining by Nobu. The resort’s 10 spa hales are luxurious, Japanese-inspired oases of calm, each one featuring an ofuro bathtub, infrared sauna, steam, indoor and outdoor showers, oversized massage tables, private plunge pools and cozy lounging areas.
ROOMS COORDINATOR
Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort, is looking for a Rooms Coordinator who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams’ have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Serve as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries and requests across phone, radio, and HotSos with professionalism and warmth.
- Support In-Room Dining, Housekeeping, and Engineering by managing requests, taking orders, making spa bookings, and offering recommendations based on guest needs.
- Handle all guest interactions with care, including special requests, complaint resolution, emergency response, and safety dispatching.
- Manage phone communications including routing, forwarding, wake-up calls, long-distance assistance, and screening no-information or do-not-disturb calls.
- Work as a support for guest itineraries and liaison to the Activities Assistant Manager
- Strategically block VIPs, suites, and high-rated guests up to two months out to optimize room usage and revenue.
- Manage early check-in, late check-out, and room queue operations, ensuring guest preferences are accommodated.
- Maintain balanced inventory in Opera, coordinate group placements, and resolve room assignment gaps during high occupancy.
- Utilize systems such as Opera, HotSos, Micros, Book4Time, Teams, and Rex to support daily operations, track guest requests, and log service tasks.
- Maintain weekly transportation trip logs, monitor faxes and wake-up calls, and ensure all phone and radio equipment is functioning properly.
- Assist with the PRP program and coordinate room readiness with related departments.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Engineering teams, stepping in to assist as needed.
- Take on additional projects or tasks assigned by the rooms leadership team while maintaining a professional and cooperative working style.

WHAT TO BRING
- Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
- Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
- Weekend and Holiday availability required.
- Ability to accurately read and work with computer systems.
