Position Overview

We are looking for a Sushi Chef to work our gorgeous sushi bar Tuesday-Saturday for dinner service, focused on high-level craftsmanship – not simply turning out rolls and nigiri, but executing with precision, technique, and intention.

We are seeking a skilled professional who values cleanliness, speed, consistency, and disciplined execution.
Compensation

• $22-$30 per hour (based on experience, skill, and availability)
• Salary option available for the right candidate

Responsibilities

• Execute nigiri, sashimi, and maki with strong knife skills and proper technique
• Fabricate whole fish and maintain strict storage standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, service-ready sushi station
• Uphold food safety and sanitation protocols
• Engage professionally with guests when appropriate
• Contribute to seasonal features and menu development

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in an upscale or high-volume sushi environment
• Fish fabrication experience required

Strong understanding of traditional Japanese technique

Ability to work clean, fast, and consistently

Professional composure under pressure

Omakase experience and sake knowledge are a plus.
