• Position Overview:
A Sales Assistant supports the sales team in customer relationship management, order processing, and administrative tasks to ensure efficient sales operations. This position plays a key role in specialty steel business serving the automotive, semiconductor, oil & gas, and aerospace industries across the American market.
• What will you do :
• Process customer orders and inquiries for specialty steel products and materials
• Maintain detailed customer records and update sales databases with accurate information
• Prepare price quotations and assist with bid proposals for specialized steel offerings
• Coordinate with production teams in Japan and logistics teams in America to confirm delivery schedules
• Track inventory levels of specialty steel products and alert management of low stock
• Generate sales reports and analyze data for sales trends across target industries
• Provide administrative support to the sales team including scheduling meetings and arranging travel
• Follow up with customers regarding order status and satisfaction
• Handle routine customer service issues related to product orders and deliveries
• Required Qualifications & Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in sales support or customer service• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with CRM software
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic understanding of specialty steels or willingness to learn product line
