The Nanotronics Sales Engineer is a smart and passionate team member, who is responsible for understanding all of the technical aspects of Nanotronics’ products and explaining them to potential consumers. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who will work well within a start-up environment.

Salary: $109-161k

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert on all of Nanotronics’ products
  • Build contacts and knowledge of industry to obtain greater market share
  • Collaborate with the sales team: understand consumer demands, define go-to-market strategy and weekly cold calling and meeting targets, and offer sales support where necessary
  • Secure meetings with key decision makers in prospect accounts
  • Establish customer rapport and acceptance
  • Prepare and present technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work: make recommendations for greater cost-effectiveness, collaborate with Nanotronics Product teams in conducting demonstrations and sample reports, and work with customers and Engineers to ensure equipment meets system requirements
  • Help clients solve problems with product usage
  • Secure orders, negotiate contract terms, guarantee product standards and assure product delivery
  • Manage day-to-day account needs of existing customers
  • Plan for modifications to products to meet consumer demands
  • Identify new marketing collateral or campaigns in collaboration with Marketing and Business Development
  • Identify and consult on new and existing product development
  • Achieve sales targets as set and defined by sales management
  • Represent Nanotronics at tradeshows, conferences, and relevant events
  • Contribute to whitepaper/technical sessions for tradeshows and industry events

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience working within a science and engineering-based company and with technical teams
  • Strong work ethic
  • Effective communicator
  • Flexible
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as with a team
  • Detail-oriented
  • Experience using Salesforce to manage pipeline/CRM
  • Ability to grasp high order concepts in physics, microscopy, hardware design, automation, artificial intelligence, and robotics
  • Advanced user of Excel and MS Office Suite, Keynote
  • Nice to have: fluency or proficiency in Chinese, Japanese or Korean

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in fast-paced business environment ideally as a member of a sales or accounts team; agency project manager experience applies
  • Bachelor’s degree or above
