Toyoda Gosei North America (located in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Sales Planning Summer Intern. The Sales Planning intern will work with the TGNA Sales Planning teams to understand internal database relationships, assist with testing, discrepancy reporting, and training/learning video demos for internal use.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Learn and understand the functionality of TG’s Sales Dept new Global Sales 1 used for sales forecasting and new business notification (aka: GS1) to aid in discrepancy reporting, efficiency studies, and system communication testing for the betterment of the sales department.
• Shadow current team members to understand Sales Planning and Sales Account Manager processes and their functionalities related to GS1 and other internal systems.
• Enhancement of and/or creation of work flows and training demos for TGNA’s GS1 portal responsibilities.
• Enter or update existing customer information in internal databases, if needed at time of internship.
• Learn and understand new Sales Quote System for quote data entry, either testing and/or actual quote information.
• Learn and understand RFQ Tracker for possible efficiency study.
Qualifications and Competencies:
• Minimum of 2 years’ undergraduate studies completed
• Coursework towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Engineering Management, Economics, Marketing, Communications, Finance/Accounting, or related fields
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (including Excel); SAP experience is a plus
• Motivated and eager to learn and understand TGNA automotive sales & sales planning systems and processes.
• Excellent organization and communication skills required
• Spanish and/or Japanese speaking and literacy skills are a plus, but not required.
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented
