Job Description:
Reporting to the Manger, IT Governance & Architecture, the SAP Business Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and delivering SAP-based solutions that align with business processes and strategic objectives. This role bridges technical architecture and business process optimization to deliver integrated, efficient, and scalable SAP systems.
The Day to Day:
Solution Design & Architecture
- Support the business in development end-to-end SAP business solutions across S/4HANA, and related modules.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, cost-effective, and high-performing SAP technical solutions.
- Design integration strategies between SAP and non-SAP systems using middleware and APIs
- Enforce solutions adhere to SAP best practices and clean-core principles.
- Ensure SAP systems integrate seamlessly between SAP modules, other enterprise applications and external systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support for SAP landscape.
- Ensure all support activities follow proper documentation and adhere to the IT change management process.
Implementation & Optimization
- Support implementations of SAP solutions (e.g., SAC, BDC, Ariba) and upgrades.
- Partner with business and functional leads to ensure solutions align with business processes and SAP best practices.
- Assess and validate business process changes, functional requirements, and custom enhancements.
- Recommend enhancements to maximize ROI on SAP investments.
- Support digital transformation initiatives using SAP technologies (SAP BTP, Fiori, AI-driven analytics).
- Assist in the testing and validation of new features and functionalities, ensuring they meet business requirements and standards.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide guidance to SAP functional teams.
- Evaluate emerging SAP technologies (SAP BTP, Fiori, AI-driven analytics) for adoption.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure SAP solutions comply with regulatory frameworks (SOX, ICFR).
- Support audit readiness and risk management activities.
User Support
- Mentor and train business leads to enable them to support site teams
- Assist end-users with troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner, ensuring proper ticket documentation.
Is this You?
Education
- Bachelor’s degree Information Technology, Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in SAP architecture and implementation.
- Good functional knowledge of SAP modules PM, FICO, MM, PS, IM
- Strong functional knowledge of PM or FICO
- Excellent understanding of end-to-end business processes within Mining Industry
- Strong knowledge of integration techniques.
- 8+ years of experience in Senior Consulting roles with hands on experience on S/4 HANA implementation projects
Soft Skills
- Strategic thinking and ability to connect technical design to business outcomes
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex deadlines and multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong leadership and cross-team collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
- Mining industry experience is an asset.
- SAP S/4 HANA certification is an asset.
- Experience with SAP BTP is an asset.
- Project Management experience is an asset.
- CSM, CSPO, PMP, Agile Business Analyst certification or in progress is an asset.
- SharePoint and SharePoint Solutions and ITSM tools highly desired
For applicants residing in Colorado, the salary range for this role is from $150,000-$180,000. Benefits: 401(k); medical/dental/vision insurance; employee share purchase plan, PTO, and STI.
