Job Description:
The Senior Business Systems Lead is a critical partner to the Executive Vice President, Growth and Innovation (EVP G&I) and the Leadership Team, providing strategic alignment, operational integration, and executive-level communication leadership across a fast paced, multi-site global operational environment. This role combines strategic relationship management, operational discipline, cross-functional alignment, and technical fluency – ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of structure, communication, and execution.

The person in this role will help bring clarity to complexity by establishing structure, driving prioritization, and enabling disciplined execution in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment, and ensure the EVP G&I and Vice Presidents (Leadership Team) are equipped with clear priorities, decision paths, and timely insights. With strong executive presence, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of mining or engineering-related terminology, this individual will elevate the EVP/Leadership Team’s effectiveness and strengthen the Growth & Innovation team’s culture and performance.

This is a hybrid role with two days per week in the office and occasional travel with the Growth and Innovation leadership team.

The Day to Day:

Executive Support, Operational Partnership & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Provide confidential expertise, guidance and coordination as a trusted operational partner to the EVP G&I, delivering priorities, workflows, and communications.
  • Proactively monitor ongoing G&I initiatives, surface risks, flag misalignments and drive delivery accountability to ensure the EVP G&I is fully delivering the highest value work and strategies.
  • Ensure the EVP’s focus is aligned to strategic priorities, including preparation for key decisions and engagements.
  • Build trusted relationships across VP- and Director-level leaders, enabling communication and coordinated action.
  • Work closely with Leadership Team to consolidate updates, track commitments, and ensure follow-through.

Technical & Industry Informed Support-Informed Support

  • Leverage understanding of mining operations, studies and projects to anticipate information needs, contextualize updates, and help translate technical insights into clear, strategic implications and decisions for EVP G&I presentations and technical discussions.

Reporting, Analysis & Presentation Development

  • Consolidate complex updates into concise, executive ready reports and summaries.
  • Analyze project data, identify trends or gaps, and translate insights into polished presentations, dashboards, and briefing materials.
  • Develop high-impact executive summaries, board level materials, and communications.

Orchestrate Team Collaboration

  • Design and orchestrate executive engagement models, including leadership meetings, workshops, and strategic planning forums.
  • Oversee annual/other meetings to ensure productive, seamless and engaging experience for global G&I leaders.

Decision Support & Preparation

  • Design well-structured options, recommendations, and briefing materials for the EVP G&I’s use with internal or executive stakeholders.
  • Use sound judgement and independent discretionary decision-making appropriate to the scope of the role and ensure leaders are equipped with the right information at the right time to accelerate decisions.

Management Operating Rhythm & Process Improvement

  • Establish and maintain operating cadences, meeting rhythms, and management structures (repeatable processes, communications, measures – Quarterly Business Reviews, etc.) that drive alignment, accelerate decision-making and clarity across G&I.
  • Design lightweight, scalable processes for gathering updates, tracking commitments, and reinforcing accountability across the G&I leadership team and G&I functions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance organizational efficiency.

Travel & Other Support

  • Support EVP G&I travel and site visit readiness, including facilitating key meetings or reviews as needed.
  • Maintain a hybrid schedule with two days per week in the office and occasional travel as required.

Is This You?

  • Experience supporting senior leaders in operations, engineering, mining, or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of engineering and mining development concepts and terminology, project management, and operational workflows to enable effective engagement with technical leaders and colleagues.
  • Exceptional writing and data story-telling skills, with experience producing executive level (including Board of Directors) communications and presentations.
  • Proficiency with data analysis, reporting tools, and presentation software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining focus on both strategic and tactical detail across multiple priorities.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality, and strong executive presence.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Preferred

  • Experience in mining, heavy industry, or engineering-driven environments.
  • Familiarity with project management platforms and collaboration tools.
  • Prior experience coordinating across multiple locations or business units including internationally.

For applicants residing in CO, the salary range for this role is from $130,000-$150,000. Benefits: 401(k); medical/dental/vision insurance; employee share purchase plan, PTO, and STI.
