    Department Overview:

    The Americas Division (“AD”) was established in the Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited, New York Branch) (“SMTBNY”) to perform corporate functions and supervise U.S. entities. Established under the AD are the “Global Banking Unit (“GBU”), Americas Division” and “Global Markets Unit (“GMU”), Americas Division” which performs business functions. The Information Technology Department (“ITD”) provides the users of the Branch’s information systems with sufficient and appropriate system resources and functionality to complete their day-to-day business and keeps security and consistency of the important information that is stored in the systems.

    Position Overview:

    Fully knowledgeable on the day-to-day activities, resolves complex issues where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines, and practice. May be considered a subject matter expert for one or more functions or processes. Focus on operational execution and occasional broader planning within areas of expertise. May have direct report subordinate staff.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Provides all levels of production support for Windows server, storage, operating systems, and desktops.
    2. Engineers and implements new infrastructure solutions.
    3. Provides technical support for the network, security, and monitoring systems.
    4. Documents project requirements, proposes solutions, conducts budget and ROI studies, manages project plans and execution, and reports project status from start to finish.
    5. Performs the Project Management tasks for on-going Projects, coordinating in-house and vendor resources.
    6. Assists the Section Manager to coordinate the IT Infrastructure Section resources for various Projects and Operational efforts.
    7. Collaborates with other stakeholders for IT Asset Management efforts.
    8. Manages the remediation of the network and security environment issues on a regular basis in order to meet all the business requirements.
    9. Acts as the subject matter expert for all back-end IT systems.
    10. Provides technical support and troubleshooting for the HP Tandem Computer in both the NY branch and London branch.
    11. Trains and mentors other members of the IT department as necessary.
    12. Handles daily system/backup checks.
    13. Runs Tandem system utilities and maintenance procedures.
    14. Performs upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
    15. Updates procedures and documentation based on system changes.
    16. Helps to plan and operate disaster recovery tests.
    17. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    1. 7+ years of experience as a Windows System Administrator and/or Engineer.
    2. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and Active Directory.
    3. Knowledge of HP Tandem Nonstop System.
    4. Advanced Knowledge of VMware/Broadcom ESX/ vSphere 7.x or higher.
    5. Advanced Knowledge of VMware/Omnissa Horizon VDI.
    6. Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online.
    7. Knowledge of Amazon AWS Cloud Services
    8. Knowledge of networking and protocols.
    9. Experience with data center infrastructure and disaster recovery planning.
    10. Demonstrates a self-starter work ethic with good organization and multi-tasking skills.
    11. Strong Project Management skills.

    The anticipated salary range for this role is listed above. The specific salary offered to an employment applicant is based on the individual’s qualifications, experiences, the job responsibilities, an analysis of the current compensation paid for similar roles in the local geographic area, and key distinctions of the job as compared to current jobs in the Branch. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

    Minimum USD Salary: 150,000
    Maximum USD Salary: 200,000
