Position Summary

Inaba Foods (USA) Inc. is seeking a Senior Key Account Manager – Pet to lead and grow strategic relationships at the headquarters and regional level with national and regional retailers, as well as distributors, within the Pet Specialty channel. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding distribution, influencing account strategy, and strengthening long-term partnerships while collaborating closely with cross-functional internal teams.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Atlanta, GA, as required by company leadership.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

  • Drive sustained revenue growth and expanded distribution across assigned Pet Specialty accounts
  • Serve as a strategic, trusted advisor to key customers and distributor partners
  • Lead account planning, promotional strategy, and business reviews with minimal oversight
  • Influence category growth through data-driven insights, pricing strategies, and executional excellence
  • Partner cross-functionally to support forecasting, production planning, and long-term account strategy

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead relationships with assigned national and regional customers and distributors, serving as the primary strategic point of contact
  • Develop and execute account strategies that drive growth, profitability, and long-term partnerships
  • Analyze historical and current sales data, purchase order trends, and market performance to identify opportunities and risks
  • Lead customer business reviews, negotiations, and market presentations
  • Execute promotional strategies and programs aligned with customer and company objectives
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and strategic input for production and demand planning
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership on pricing, promotions, quotes, and strategic initiatives
  • Resolve complex customer issues related to product, service, pricing, or execution
  • Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and merchandising strategies to inform decision-making
  • Manage travel and business expenses in alignment with budgeted guidelines
  • Demonstrate a growth-oriented, proactive sales approach focused on expanding strategic relationships and long-term value
  • Represent Inaba Foods professionally while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
  • 5-10 years of progressive sales experience within Pet Specialty, Food & Beverage, or adjacent CPG categories
  • Proven experience calling on headquarters and regional offices and managing complex distributor relationships
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage trends, data, and performance metrics to influence strategy
  • Advanced proficiency in developing and delivering compelling PowerPoint sales presentations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple high-impact priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
  • Ability to travel locally or regionally as required, including time spent in the field
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy
  • Ability to commute to the Atlanta office on a daily basis
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Maximum USD Salary: 110,000
