Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, Florida, is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Support Technical Services.

SUMMARY

The Senior Manager of Project Support Technical Services leads a team of technical support engineers responsible for resolving complex site-related issues during the construction, commissioning, and warranty phases of large-scale power generation projects. This role is highly cross-functional and requires strong leadership, coordination, and technical problem-solving skills. The Senior Manager works closely with engineering, supply chain, quality, field services, and project management to ensure technical challenges are addressed efficiently and to support continuous improvement initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead resolution of project site issues through collaboration with internal departments, vendors, and field support teams.
  • Manage and track Project Action Requests (PARs) and ensure timely resolution with documented progress.
  • Oversee and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Support commissioning and guarantee test planning, including grid code requirements.
  • Interface with consortium partners, EPCs, and grid operators to ensure compliance with national/international codes.
  • Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) during construction and commissioning.
  • Participate in project meetings and serve as the primary PSM representative.
  • Improve processes, tools, and procedures within the PSM team.
  • Evaluate and enhance team capabilities and resource planning for future project success.
  • Monitor team schedules, budget absorption, and performance to align with project deadlines.
  • Lead by example to foster collaboration, accountability, and high performance.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support product and process improvement through detailed technical reports and analysis.
  • Contribute to grid code training initiatives and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare technical papers and participate in industry forums as needed.
  • Participate in meetings across time zones, including occasional Japanese business hours.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures and encourage team-wide compliance.
  • Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity at all times.
  • Travel up to 20%, both domestic and international, by land and/or air.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution; minimum of 10 years of experience in gas or steam turbine EPC projects or major industrial EPC environments.

Certifications:
OSHA 10-hour training preferred but not required.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and business correspondence; effectively present to teams and stakeholders.

Mathematical Skills:
Proficiency in applied mathematics, including geometry, trigonometry, and statistical inference.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to assess complex problems, interpret data, and develop actionable solutions.

Computer Skills:
Proficiency in project management, reporting, and communication tools including Microsoft Office Suite and related systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, talk, and hear. Occasional lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds may be required. The employee may be required to adhere to safety protocols including the use of PPE such as hard hats, goggles, hearing, and fall protection.
