Summary:

Join Hitachi America’s Value Integration Division (VID) supporting the sourcing, contracting, and procurement activities. This role involves working with global business partners and Hitachi Group companies, contributing to high technology business alliances, and supporting various stages of the procurement business lifecycle. The successful candidate will contribute to VID’s mission through coordinating, participating in activities, supporting sourcing to contract process with cross functional teams across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential business partners and suppliers.
  • Support team members with data analysis and data interpretation to identify cost saving opportunities.
  • Analyze and support negotiation contract terms, identifying potential risks and proposing necessary modifications.
  • Coordinate and monitor contract-related activities, ensuring timely execution.
  • Support post-award business processes ensuring smooth transaction phases.
  • Encourage and maintain relationships with prospective and existing business partners to ensure ongoing relationships.
  • Support Procure to Pay (P2P) activities.
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in contracting review process or business development.
  • Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with technology transactions, software licenses, and procurement.
  • Understanding of business, financial, and legal aspects of contracts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a multicultural setting.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within the procurement field.
