As a PSI (Purchasing/Sales/Inventory) Specialist, you will play a central role in the hands-on planning, execution, and optimization of Kyocera’s PSI process. This process supports both the US market as well as our 4 sister sales companies: Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Chile. You will ensure there is proper alignment with global standards, lead times from suppliers, supply chain effects, and required timelines across the PSI process. Your mission is to work collaboratively with demand planners and purchasing staff to create accurate sales forecasts, country specific purchase plans, analysis of plan results, and tight compliance with best practices across the group.
You will proactively identify risks and implement preventive measures, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and continuous process improvement in all aspects of PSI execution. You will intervene as needed to correct deviations, drive continuous improvement, and facilitate best practice sharing across the group. Your scope includes our 5 sales companies in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Chile and our 10 subsidiaries located in the US. Your structured, analytical, and cross-functional approach will help bridge planning and execution, contributing to the overall operational excellence of our PSI process.

Responsibilities
PSI Planning & Execution
+ Collaborate with demand planners and purchasing staff to create, review, refine, and align monthly PSI plans for KDA.
+ Monitor sales and purchasing actuals versus planned forecast, analyze root causes of variances, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
+ Develop and utilize monitoring tools and dashboards to detect potential issues in sales and purchasing before they materialize.
+ Track on-hand and in-transit inventory, considering multiple logistics routes and lead times, and support timely and accurate procurement.
+ Analyze lead times, logistics bottlenecks, and inventory flows to support continuous improvement in purchasing and inventory management.
+ Propose and implement process improvements to enhance S and P accuracy and inventory optimization.
+ Coordinate and execute inventory transfers between distribution centers and sales companies.
PSI Governance & Oversight
+ Oversee and review monthly PSI submissions from regional sales companies; validate data and provide feedback to local sales forecast (S) and purchase plan (P) owners.
+ Compare actuals versus plans for S and P, identify discrepancies, and drive corrective actions.
+ Enforce PSI submission timelines and ensure compliance with KDC’s global schedule.
+ Exert control and leadership to standardize and optimize PSI methodologies and best practices across sales companies.
+ Proactively monitor and direct corrective actions for any deviations or risks in PSI planning and execution.
Aged Inventory Management
+ Continuously monitor aged inventory and identify at-risk items across KDA, sales companies and subsidiaries.
+ Work closely with KDA’s Marketing and Sales to develop and implement proactive sell-through and promotional strategies for slow-moving or excess stock.
+ Track and report progress of corrective actions for aged inventory, escalating to business leaders as needed.
Data Analysis & Reporting
+ Develop and maintain group-wide dashboards and analytics for PSI performance monitoring.
+ Provide regular and ad-hoc PSI reports to management and related departments.
+ Ensure data accuracy and consistency through cleansing and validation procedures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Work closely with KDA internal teams including Logistics, Sales, Marketing, IT, and Finance.
+ Work closely with PSI contacts (demand planners, purchasing staff) in sales companies and subsidiaries.
+ Participate in cross-entity PSI process improvement projects, data analysis, and share best practices across the organization.
+ Provide training, guidance and support based on best practices to sales companies and subsidiaries, especially in areas where group-wide alignment is required.
Qualifications
+ Reports to Senior Manager, Sales Planning & PSI Management.
+ Regular interaction with demand planner, purchasing staff, and PSI contacts in sales companies and subsidiaries.
+ Interaction with KDC (parent company), which may occasionally require meetings outside of standard business hours due to time zone differences.
Qualifications
Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in PSI or supply chain management role.
+ Strong knowledge of PSI principles, governance, compliance, and optimization techniques.
+ Proven Excel skills including pivot tables, macros, slicers, and v-lookups.
+ Strong experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Dynamics, SAP, etc.)
+ Excellent command of data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Power BI (required), Tableau, or equivalent platforms.
+ Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret large data sets and drive process improvements.
+ Excellent data organization skills.
+ Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
+ Team player who supports cross-functional collaboration.
+ Self-directed, organized, and detail-oriented.
Preferred:
+ Bilingual (English + Japanese, Spanish or Portuguese) is a plus.
+ Experience with data simulations
+ Strong project management
+ Experience in process improvement or project leadership.
+ Experience in training, standardization, or best practice deployment preferred.
The typical pay range for this role is $62,000 -$103,000. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position may include a discretionary bonus based on performance.
