Student Worker, After School Language – Extended Learning

The ideal candidate should be alert, punctual and detail-oriented. Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

Support the After School Language Program (ASLP) by providing classroom (TA) support for students in grades 2-6 learning Japanese or Mandarin.
Promote a safe and engaging learning environment as students participate in songs, games, dialogue, worksheets, and other language-learning activities.
Ensure students are safely escorted to/from the meeting areas, classrooms, and carline.

Position Details:

• Work Year: 9 Months
• School Year: 2025-2026
• Work Hours: Scheduling is based on individual student schedules and availability
• Hourly Rate: $14.00/Hour

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Punahou School student in good standing.
• Knowledge in specific language areas.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good work ethic, ability to take and follow instructions.
• Use of good judgment, ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ability to balance school commitments, play and extracurricular activities with work responsibilities.
