JObSummary:

Provide “Omotenashi” (Hospitality) to all guests, sharing Japanese Culture and preparing sushi and sushi items in the Sushi Show Bar. Engage and entertain guests by performing “Sushi Show” and maintaining a clean work area.

Essential job Functions:
• Entertains guests while preparing sushi orders by providing an entertaining display of cooking skills and showmanship, engaging guests through conversation and the introduction of Japanese Culture, encouraging verbal participation, and responding to guests’ questions and comments.
• Prepare all food items as requested by the guest, following all sushi preparation guidelines and adjusting the sushi preparation process based on order mix and volume to ensure serving the best possible sushi.
• Ensures the proper set up of all work areas; balancing the preparation times of different orders to ensure guests get their sushi in a timely fashion; accommodating guest allergies and other special requirements; and adjusting sushi preparation times based on the business level.
• Prepare and operate EVO Grill.
• Follows established food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures.
• Follows company and state sanitation guidelines.
• Maintains a clean work station; clean utensils and work surface

• Coaches New Hires about food preparation and hygiene and oversee their work
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
• One to two years of culinary experience
• Bi-lingual Japanese and knowledge of Japanese Cuisine required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail is a must.
