About the Role:
The Teppanyaki Cook plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by preparing and cooking high-quality Japanese cuisine in front of guests. This position requires a blend of culinary expertise and performance skills, as the cook will engage with diners while showcasing their cooking techniques. The primary goal is to create a memorable atmosphere that combines delicious food with entertainment, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business. The Teppanyaki Cook will also be responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness and adhering to food safety standards. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall success of the restaurant by enhancing the guest experience and upholding the establishment’s reputation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Teppanyaki Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to perform cooking demonstrations and engage with guests.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution.
- Experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Fluency in multiple languages to enhance guest interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using Teppanyaki techniques in front of guests.
