As a member of the Tournament Management, Americas department at EFG you are
responsible for competition operations workflows, primarily the facilitation and execution
of our live and online competitions and long term programs. The competition operations
work center is primarily focused on white label & client services oriented projects based
in North America and Europe, working alongside some of the largest publishers in the
space to ensure their vision is brought to life and their players are provided pristine
service and amazing experiences.

As a Tournament Manager you are on the ground floor working with clients and internal
stakeholders to facilitate the timely and quality execution of competition deliverables
and ensuring our live tournaments and online competitions are operated to the highest
standard. In this entry level position we are looking for a self sufficient, organized, and
fast adapting tournament operator who performs well under pressure and is passionate
about the tournament and player experience.

While this role is advertised as based in Ohio for the right candidate this role can be remote

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as a point of contact for clients, potential clients, independent contractors,
and internal teammates on all aspects of the tournament and player experience
• Communicate project information to internal and external stakeholders across
broadcast, production, and other verticals across various timezones
• Create dynamic and logically structured flowcharts, docs, spreadsheets, and
presentations to map out competition workflows, systems, reports, tests, and
discoveries
• Be able to serve as or train to become a subject matter expert for the function
and gameplay of assigned games and IPs
• Communicate with players, organizations and clients in a professional manner as
a representative of the EFG competition team
• Carefully craft rulesets, tournament formats, informational briefs, and general
competition related deliverables for players and programs
• Be able to work weekends and travel internationally or domestically to operate
our suite of live and online esports competitions
• Recruit, train, and manage project based admins and referees, ensuring our
projects are sufficiently staffed with skilled competition personnel
• Work closely with tech and production teams to ensure that all competition
hardware and software are optimally configured and game-ready
• Serve as a point of contact for players and teams facilitating clear and timely
communication regarding schedules, rules, and any changes or updates
• Executionally operate as an admin, lead admin, or referee on shows as
needed/assigned

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
• Experience working with or as a tournament operator or related esports oriented
projects (~1-3 years)
• Previous experience that demonstrates a keen understanding of tournament
operations, player relations, and the live event environment
• Excellent communication and personal organization skills
• A diplomatic approach to issue identification and resolution as it relates to player
and client communications
• Ability to adapt in fast-moving environments and perform with accuracy under pressure
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours, must be able to lift 30 lbs
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally

DESIREABLE SKILLS
• Multilingual capabilities, particularly Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, French,
Portuguese, and/or Japanese
• Proficiency in google sheets, sheet automation, and/or discord tooling and
integration
• Previous involvement in developing esports and grassroots communities
• Experience with task tracking systems such as Monday, JIRA and other similar
suites
