General Position Summary

Assist in the general HR functions such as benefits, payroll, training, employee engagement, and provide support to expats and their family members

Essential Functions

  • Administer company benefits and insurance enrollments-Medical, Dental, Vision, etc. for Aisan Expats and FPI members when necessary
  • Administer and assist Expats and families with insurance claims, medical visits, consultations, and various other appointments
  • Assist Expat ADP end users with ADP functions (such as time keeping) and reporting
  • Prepare and present training to expats in regards to EHS, HR Policy, ADP platform, compliance and any other training that may be identified for Aisan Expats
  • Assist in overall FPI communication efforts and projects, assist in maintaining communication boards and administering employee surveys
  • Assist in various HR projects, including but not limited to:
    1. Company Events
    2. Employee Recognition Programs
    3. Wellness Program
    4. Kaizen Projects
    5. Cost Reduction
  • Expat Time and Attendance / Payroll Support
  • Provide overall HR support in the areas of Benefits, Safety, Health and Wellness, Administrative Duties, Reporting/Compliance, Employee Recognition, Employee Relations
  • Report assigned monthly activity to department head as needed
  • Assist with Safety walks and participate in overall safety activity
  • Assist with other functions within the HR department as needed.

Job Dimensions (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities or KSAs)

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes
  • Math skills for invoice consolidation and adjusting premium payments
  • The HR Specialist is expected to attend relevant training in order to improve knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to solve problems

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Fluent in Japanese and English required
  • Associates Degree Preferred

Work Experience Requirements

  • 1-2 years’ experience preferred
