Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Researcher to join our team in Tokyo, Japan, for a hybrid position with a focus on mixed-method research relating to design, and color, materials, and finish (CMF). The candidate must be proficient in both English and Japanese and be willing to conduct in-person hardware research while also offering occasional support for software research. This role is critical for enhancing our product design and user experience, offering a unique opportunity to combine technical skills with cultural insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct mixed-method research focusing on design, color, materials, and finish (CMF).
• Perform in-person hardware testing and analysis, with occasional software research support.
• Ensure bilingual communication and documentation (English/Japanese) for research findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research insights into design and product development.
• Manage and adapt research methods to meet project timelines and objectives efficiently.

Must-Have Skills:

• Expertise in UX Research methodologies and practices.
• Proficient bilingual (English/Japanese) communication abilities.
• Proven experience with hardware testing and CMF research.

Industry Experience Required: Prior experience in technology or product design industries is highly preferred, especially in roles requiring cultural and linguistic adaptability.
