Warehouse Manager – Operation Manager (WMS / Fulfillment)

A Japanese logistics and forwarding company is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee daily warehouse and fulfillment operations. This role is responsible for managing warehouse staff, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping operations, and process improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate has experience with WMS systems, fulfillment operations, and warehouse team management in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse and fulfillment operations, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control
• Supervise and support a warehouse team of approximately 12 employees
• Monitor warehouse KPIs including accuracy, productivity, and on-time performance
• Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee cycle counts and audits
• Improve warehouse layout, workflows, and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with logistics, transportation, and customer service teams
• Review and approve customer invoices
• Ensure compliance with warehouse safety standards and company procedures
• Visit the Elgin warehouse location 2-3 times per week as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment management experience
• Strong knowledge of WMS and warehouse operations
• Experience with picking, packing, and fulfillment workflows
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
• Experience in 3PL or e-commerce fulfillment preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
