Yanmar America is seeking a Warranty Supervisor to lead the Warranty Support Team within our After-Sales Support Division. This role oversees warranty operations across multiple business units and ensures efficient claims processing, cost control, system integrity, and strong dealer/OEM support.
This is a leadership role responsible for managing warranty administration, driving reporting and cost analysis, and improving processes that impact customer satisfaction and operational performance.
What You’ll Do
• Oversee warranty operations for the Rural Lifestyle, Industrial Engines, and Energy Systems Divisions
• Lead and support the Warranty Support Team, providing direction, coaching, and performance management
• Manage divisional warranty budgets and internal warranty expense accounts
• Authorize goodwill decisions for dealers and customers as appropriate
• Develop and analyze reporting using warranty claims data, technical support cases, and related sources to identify trends, field issues, and cost drivers
• Communicate and track Product Improvement Programs (PIPs)
• Lead projects related to warranty systems, after-sales improvements, and operational efficiency
• Oversee warranty system functionality and implement enhancements
• Manage the service case ticket system and related campaign activity
• Supervise zero-hour programs and other corrective actions
• Partner cross-functionally with internal teams, dealers, distributors, OEMs, and Yanmar Japan stakeholders
What You Bring
• Strong leadership and team development experience
• In-depth knowledge of industrial engine or equipment service operations
• Familiarity with diesel engines, emissions systems (Tier 3 & 4), electronics, and hydraulic controls
• Experience troubleshooting diesel products and using diagnostic tools (Volt-Ohm Meter, CAN bus/OBD II interfaces, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to build meaningful reporting from multiple data sources
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI preferred
• Experience with Salesforce or another CRM system is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in high-volume, fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of experience in the Industrial Engine, Construction Equipment, or Agricultural Equipment industry preferred
• Prior experience leading a multi-discipline team preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to travel approximately 10% domestically and internationally
• Bilingual (English/Japanese) is a plus
