    Job Description Summary

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    Job Summary:
    • Responsible for adhering to, developing and enforcing safe practices and policies.
    • Responsible for Department budget development and management.
    • Responsible for managing and achieving Department KPI (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery)
    • Engage in Department interviewing for open G-level and skilled positions
    • Develop and execute training plans for Dept. Frontline leaders and skilled positions.
    • Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; completing payroll for assigned associates, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
    • Floor management – 6S control, associate engagement.
    • Develop and manage department improvement projects with the team.
    • Position core work hours 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
    • Fast paced work environment
    • Ability to multi-task

    Education and/or Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four year college or university; or four to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    Background/Skills:
    • Automotive background a must, preference towards high volume machining operations, Experience with Japanese transplants will be highly beneficial
    • Proven ability to manage within a fast paced, high production environment. Experience in the hiring, development, and monitoring or personnel.
    • Intermediate or advanced Computer skills (Microsoft Office) required.
    • CS SU Assembly: Background in fast paced automotive assembly operation
    • Rod Area: Machining process engineering, CNC programming experience, Tooling, Jig & Fixture design background. Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of center less grinding
    • Weld/Bulge/Paint Area: Mechanical or Welding engineering experience or equivalent process experience.
