POSITION SPECIFICS:
The World Language Certificated Pool is for assignments for the 2025/2026 school year.
The San Diego Unified School District accepts applications for World Language Teachers on a continuous basis for regular full-time and part-time assignments. Candidates who wish to teach French, Japanese, Mandarin, Tagalog, Spanish, American Sign Language or any other world language should apply to this pool. San Diego Unified is looking for world language teachers for elementary immersion, secondary immersion and secondary world language settings.
This is a continuous recruitment which will be used to establish an ongoing eligibility list.

Copy of a valid teaching credential, proof of enrollment in a credentialing program (candidates must be scheduled to graduate within 6 months), proof of intern eligibility, or proof of short-term staffing permit eligibility.
Contact information for three professional references must be listed under the ‘References’ section of the application. References should be from a current or previous supervisor. We will contact your professional references during the application screening process. Written reference letters dated within the last year are also accepted and may be attached to your online application in the Reference section.
Contact information for all previous places of employment must be listed under the ‘Employment History’ section of the application (Assembly Bill 2534). As of January 1, 2025, in accordance with Education Code section 44939.5 (as amended by California AB 2534) applicants for certificated positions are required by law to provide a complete list of every school district, county office of education, charter school and/or state special school with which you have previously been employed, regardless of the length of service.
