Description
Position Summary:
The Sales Manager services customers and generates product sales to key distributors and large end-user accounts to achieve business objectives and drive profitability in the Asian Business. Scope includes account management, new business development and sales administration.
This is a fully remote position located in Southern California or metropolitan New York.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Account Management
- Identifies, secures and develops new business
- Improves volume and profitability with current customers.
- Builds, manages, and leverages distributor partnerships; communicates and follows-up with distributors regarding specific activities with regional accounts.
- Analyzes customer offerings and makes value-added product recommendations.
- Builds strong customer relationships with key decision makers.
Business Development
- Identifies, secures, and develops new customers and new business with key distributors.
- Identifies high potential operators through market reconnaissance and networking.
- Works closely with category management on key product initiatives
Sales Administration
- Develops and maintains account profiles for assigned accounts.
- Prepares weekly sales activity reports.
- Prepares quarterly account business project report and results.
- Collaborates effectively with Asian Sales Team, Marketing, R&D, Category Management, and Technical Services.
- Drives key sales initiatives.
- Keeps team members and stakeholders informed on customer activity, market trends, and new product placements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in Asian food service sales and business development
- Proven track record of sales success
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
- Ability to develop & implement business plans
- Fluent in Japanese and English
- “Hunter” sales mentality; always searching for new customers and product opportunities
- 40% regional travel required
Salary Description
$120,000-$140,000/year plus bonus
