Mexico: Bilingual Quality Engineer or Specialist

Seeking a Quality Engineer to move to Monterrey, Mexico (inc relocation & visa support). Bilingual Japanese/English, BS engineering, 3-5 yrs' exp required.

A leading manufacturer of automotive cables and wiring solutions is offering relocation and visa support for candidates to Mexico. The salary range is US$60-70K (in Mexico, around $100K in the US)

Responsibilities:

• Implement and audit ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001 systems.
• Drive sustainable performance, waste reduction, and customer satisfaction via a deep understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5s methodologies, Kaizen, Genchi Genbutsu, Hoshin Kanri, and Jidoka.
• Ability to problem-solve using PDCA, A3, 8D, and Root Cause Analysis techniques.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers and customers to ensure a zero-defect mentality and continuous improvement.
• Be recognized for a disciplined yet empathetic leadership style and bridge technical precision with cultural depth, promoting a “right first time” mindset and fostering a culture of accountability, respect, and learning across all levels of the organization.

Requirements:

• BS in Engineering or Quality Management.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the automotive quality environment/technical field.
• Strong knowledge of ISO9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001.
• Hands-on experience with core automotive quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA.
• Native/fluent Japanese-English language skills are required.
• Experience in the Japanese Manufacturing environment is an advantage.
