Position Overview
This Adjunct faculty member teaches one or more of the foreign languages offered at the College: Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, and German.
(Fall Semester.)
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes .

- Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
- Evaluates and advises students
- Participates in departmental and College affairs
- Develops curricula
- Recruits students
- Serves on committees
- Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
- Master’s degree in the Foreign Language; or Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the assigned Foreign Language a nd three (3) years of teaching experience in the assigned language
- All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
